A friend of my named his dog “Dog” and his cat “Cat”. He also has a goldfish named Bruce
I knew someone who really badly wanted a dog when he was growing up but due to the place they stayed and his parents’ work schedule, they could only get him a cat. So he decided to call it “Dog”. Years later when he was finally able to get a dog, the cat was still alive so he thought it would be funny to name the dog “Cat”.
