Dachshunds might look like little sausage dogs, but they were actually bred as hunters—especially of small prey. Like Chihuahuas, they often make up for their diminutive size with a brave and bold attitude.
As with some of the other breeds mentioned, rough play isn’t ideal for Dachshunds and they generally don’t tolerate it well.
