Capilano Suspension Bridge (Canada)

The Capilano Suspension Bridge, located in Vancouver, Canada, opened in 1889 and has been attracting tourists ever since. The bridge is 450 feet long and 230 feet high, situated above the Capilano River and amidst a lush evergreen forest landscape. Although the bridge sways, it’s relatively safe with complete handrails.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Canada’s major tourist attractions, offering not only the suspension bridge itself but also a variety of attractions such as First Nations art, the Cliffwalk located on the edge of the canyon, and trails and rope bridges connecting the forest. The area is open year-round, and from mid-November to the third week of January, the famous Christmas event “Canyon Lights” is held on the bridge. Numerous seasonal events are also held from June to October.
