A Gift She’ll Never Forget
In movies and documentaries, crocodiles and alligators are often portrayed as dangerous and fearsome creatures, which, given their natural instincts and physical characteristics, isn’t exactly wrong. Despite this image and the real dangers these animals can pose, you’ll still find folks, particularly in the Northern Territory of Australia, who decide to keep young crocs as pets. These unusual pets sometimes end up chilling in swimming pools, which definitely isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Some people are just fascinated by these prehistoric-looking critters, even if most folks think keeping such exotic pets is a bit bonkers.
A gift can often be a loving gesture or a sign of appreciation, but sometimes it’s just a gag, which in one particular case led to a rather humorous situation. The photo in question shows a crocodile sporting a pretty pearl necklace, playfully dolled up to make it “gift-worthy.” Despite the tongue-in-cheek attempt to visually enhance the reptile, the recipient’s reaction was probably less than thrilled.
