PIERCE BROSNAN – WENT THROUGH DEPRESSION

Pierce Brosnan, born in Ireland in 1953 and 71 years old, was once one of Hollywood’s biggest names. Back in the ’90s and 2000s, he was the charming James Bond, starting with GoldenEye (1995), and his suave demeanor defined the 007 agent. His fame exploded, but time changed his trajectory. In 2005, he was dropped for Casino Royale due to his age, ending his era as Bond after four films.

Brosnan’s personal life also transformed him. Once a rising heartthrob; now, in 2025, he bears the scars of depression after losing his first wife, Cassandra Harris, in 1991, and his daughter Charlotte, in 2013, both to cancer. These blows took him out of the spotlight for a while, but he recovered. Married to Keely Shaye Smith since 2001, Pierce continues to act—like in Black Adam (2022)—and lives in Malibu, with a fortune of $200 million. Far from bankruptcy, he seems to have found peace, painting and supporting environmental causes. We still wonder if he is fully happy, but his resilience suggests a man who overcame the past to embrace a more peaceful present.
